For the Microsoft Office for Mac release, the new ribbon feature (a set of toolbars at the top of Office programs) was introduced to the UI.

Challenge
• Edit the entire Office for Mac UI.
• Ensure that the ribbon feature is easy to use.
• Make the UI clear, consistent, concise, and intuitive across all apps.
• Adhere to Microsoft style and UI guidelines and Apple human interface guidelines.
• Ensure that all Help content matches the UI.

Action
• Worked with stakeholders to create an accurate, streamlined, easy-to-use UI.
• Wrote UI text.
• Created UI guidelines so that the writing and editing teams could match the UI with Help content.
• Researched and implemented style and human interface guidelines.
